UNILORITE shines at All African Games

A 400 Level student of the Department of Kinect Education, University of Ilorin, Miss Sofiat Arinola Obanishola, has won a bronze medal for Nigeria at the ongoing 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana.

Miss Obanishola, who recorded this glowing feat penultimate Sunday (March 10, 2024), has succeeded in adding to the fortune of Nigeria at the Games, which is attracting the participation of athletes from all over Africa.

Reacting to the development, the Director of Sports, University of Ilorin, Prof. Tajudeen Olanrewaju Ibraheem, congratulated the UNILORITE for distinguishing herself at the Games.

He explained that Miss Obanishola is one of the several others produced by the University who are succeeding in combining academic work with positive extracurricular activities, particularly sports.

Prof. Ibraheem thanked the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, for the support the University administration extends to sports and athletes among the students and staff members of the University.

The Director, while calling for more support, assured stakeholders that students of the University would continue to do the University proud in local, national and international sports fiesta.
