seni makes CBN’s Committee, Egbewole welcomes appointment

An alumnus of the University of Ilorin, Dr Umar A. Oseni, has been appointed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as a member of its Financial Regulation Advisory Council of Experts.

Dr Oseni, who graduated from the Faculty of Law, was appointed by the apex bank to assist in strengthening the CBN’s regulatory framework, particularly in the aspect of Islamic finance.

With the appointment, the University of Ilorin now has two of its own on the Committee as a former Head of the Department of Islamic Law, Prof. AbdulRazzaq Abdulmajeed Alaro, mni, has been a member of the same Committee for more than a decade.

             Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has welcomed the appointment of  Dr Oseni.
