Ojuade appreciates UNILORIN’s support for Ojaja Varsity

The Vice Chancellor, Ojaja University, Ilorin, Prof. Jeleel Olasunkanmi Ojuade, has appreciated the support of the management of the University of Ilorin to his University since his assumption of duties as the Chief Executive of the privately-owned institution of higher learning.

Prof. Ojuade gave this commendation last Tuesday (April 15, 2024) while featuring on Oro To Nlo, a popular Yoruba current affairs programme of UNILORIN 89.3 FM, the official radio station of the University of Ilorin. The programme was anchored by the Head of the Station, Mr Idris Akintola Ibrahim (Alooma).

The Vice Chancellor, who prior to his current appointment was a Lecturer at the Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin,  described the Better By University as a centre of academic excellence where both staff and students are always equipped with up-to-date knowledge and information.

Prof. Ojuade explained that the contributions and support of the University of Ilorin paved way for his appointment as the Vice Chancellor of the private University.

The Vice Chancellor explained that the University, which was previously known as Crown-Hill University, had been acquired by the Ooni of Ife, who is also the President of the Osun State Council of Chiefs, Oba Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, CFR. He added that new proprietor as well as the management and staff of the University are determined to take the institution beyond the next level.

Speaking on some of his achievements, Prof. Ojuade explained that arrangements are almost completed for the establishment of a radio station by his University.

He added that the station would soon come on board as its approval is only awaiting the endorsement of the Federal Government following the satisfactory assessment of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
