Let’s build UNILORIN together – Alfanla

The Registrar of the University of Ilorin,Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, has urged staff members of the University, particularly those of the Registry Unit, to cooperate with the University management towards making the University surpass the expectations of its stakeholders.

Mr Alfanla made this appeal penultimate Tuesday (December 19, 2023) while speaking at the end-of-the-year party organised by the Committee of Deputy Registrars of the University at the UNILORIN Lakeside Resort.

Mr Alfanla, who was visibly delighted with the love and fraternity displayed by the Deputy Registrars and other guests at the event, thanked the Deputy Registrars for their efforts, particularly their impressive contributions, which contributed to the recent successful combined 37th and 38th convocation ceremonies of the University.

. Mr Alfanla, who is also the Secretary to the University’s Governing Council, emphasised the importance of punctuality and commended Deputy Registrars who have carved successful careers outside the University for their continued connection with their alma mater.

In his address at the event, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, acknowledged the crucial role of Deputy Registrars in the University.

Prof. Egbewole, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Suleiman Funsho Ambali, applauded the inclusivity fostered by the Registrar and highlighted the positive impact of the vision 1:10:500 ,which he said is aimed at enhancing the University’s standing.

Speaking on behalf of the Deputy Registrars, the Secretary of the Postgraduate School, University of Ilorin, Mr Olusegun Dopamu, expressed his gratitude to the Registrar for his commitment to the growth of the Registry.

The event was witnessed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Abayomi Olubunmi Omotesho; the University Librarian, Dr Kamaldeen Tunde Omopupa; and the Ag. Bursar,  Mr Oba  Abdulbarki.

 Also in attendance were the Registrar  of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Dr Wasilat Kikelomo Salle, and the Registrar of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, Mrs Garba, among others.
