JAMB  UTME exams at UNILORIN Centres successful-CBT Director

About 7000 candidates from different parts of the country recently sat for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) of the  Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) at the University of Ilorin Centres .

This was disclosed by the Director of the Computer-Based Test (CBT), University of Ilorin, Prof. Kamilu Rauf, while speaking with UNILORIN BULLETIN in his office last Tuesday (April 30, 2024).

The Director said that the examination, which was conducted over a period of four days and 33 sessions, was  a huge success

Prof. Rauf stated that though a total of 7, 260 candidates were posted to the University for the examination, only 6,788 of the candidates actually reported and participated.

He explained that 455  candidates did not show up for the examination while 17 of the candidates that showed up could not be verified as duly registered candidates.

Speaking on his general assessment of the examinations as held at the University, Prof. Kamilu said that the conduct was not only fair but very impressive.

 The Professor of Mathematics added that the available facilities  accommodate the needs of the candidates during the examination.

He also explained that the Centre had enough materials to cater for the number of candidates who were posted for the examination.

Prof. Rauf added that computer systems and network connectivity were stable throughout the examination period, which ensured a smooth administration of the process.
