Egbewole harps on importance of well-crafted CVs

A Deputy Registrar at the University of Ilorin, Mrs Muibat Egbewole, has underscored the importance of meticulous preparation of curriculum vitae (CV).

Delivering a lecture entitled “Preparing Functional Curriculum Vitae: An Epitome of Good Personality,” at the Registry Seminar series last Wednesday (April 3, 2024) at the University Auditorium, Mrs Egbewole stressed the importance of a well-crafted CV to stimulate success in today’s competitive job market.

The Guest Speaker, who is currently on sabbatical leave at Ojaja University, Eiyenkorin, Ilorin, emphasised that a strong CV goes beyond simply listing qualifications as she stated the key strategies needed to craft an intimidating CV that would effectively showcase an applicant’s skills, experience, and achievements.

Also speaking, the Ag. Director of the Centre for Research, Development, and In-House Training (CREDIT), Dr AbdulKareem Oloyede, commended the initiative.

He emphasised the importance of professionalism in CV crafting as he urged participants to use official or professional email addresses instead of informal or playful ones.
