Egbewole hails Mustapha’s appointment as The Herald Editorial Board member

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has congratulated a former Head of the institution’s Department of Mass Communication, Dr Kayode Lambe Mustapha, on his appointment as a member of the Editorial Board of The Herald  newspapers.

Prof. Egbewole, in a statement signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr Kunle Akogun, described the appointment as befitting and well-deserved.

The Vice Chancellor said that the appointment of Dr Mustapha was a recognition of his intellectual and professional resourcefulness, saying that the appointment would afford the renowned Mass Communication teacher the opportunity of offering his expertise in the efforts targeted at rebuilding the vitality of the Kwara State-owned newspaper.

While thanking the Kwara State Government for the appointment, Prof. Egbewole expressed the  conviction that the experience that would be gained by Dr Mustapha would be useful in the training of the present and future generations of students of the University’s Department of  Mass Communication.

The Editorial Board, which is headed by a veteran journalist and former Commissioner for Information and Culture in Kwara State, Chief AbdulRaheem Adedoyin, has since been inaugurated.

Prof. Egbewole wished Dr Mustapha a rewarding tenure in office.
