Engr. Jimoh Olanrewaju Ganiyu graduated from University of Ilorin with B.Eng in Civil Engineering with Second Class Lower in 2011. He is currently in for his Second degree, M.sc(structure) in view.

He joined the service of the University as Civil Engineer ll in August, 2013 after working with Jiyoda Engineering Nigeria Ltd, one of the major consultants for the NIPP projects as a graduate trainee for two (2) years.

At the University of ilorin, due to hard work, commitment and dedication, he rose to the rank of Senior Civil Engineer in 2019, he is currently due for Principal Engineer, God’s willingly, this year and he is currently the head of Structure of the Unit. He was Secretary for the private hostels developers meeting for four(4) years, 2014-2018.

In his quest for more knowledge, better understanding of job, capacity building and for optimum performance, he has attended various workshops, seminars and trainings on the uses of various high tech softwares in the design of engineering projects (prota, staadpro, autocad, civil 3D, Revit structure etc)

He has a certificate on Understanding The Condition s Of Contract And The Procedures For Managing Road Projects from Nigerian Institution of Highway Engineers (2016), a certificate on Bridge Planning and Engineering from Department of Civil Engineering, University of Ilorin (2018), a certificate on CSC Orion R18 Master Class, a high tech software used for design of various building components/ elements, complex structures, retaining walls etc from Apelle (2018), a certificate in Cost Engineering Management from Ornament Engineering Services (2020), a certificate on Procurement And Materials Management from The Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), (2021).

He was admitted as a Corporate Member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE, 38115) in 2016, a COREN Registered Engineer (R36986) in 2017, a graduate member of Nigerian Institute of Structural Engineers (GMNIstruE) in 2018.

He has supervised over 70 projects from their inceptions to the final stage in total adherence to design codes of practice, standard and specifications, designed over 30 projects, high rise , medium rise, low rise buildings and roads constructions. He also tutored over 20 students from various universities in Nigeria on designs and supervision of various projects during their Industrial Training programs in the Unit.

He is dedicated to work, a strong traits to detail which had helped him tremendously in the field of work. He is a great team work player, good at keeping team together and producing quality work in a team environment and can work with little or no supervision perfectly.

He is happily married and his hobbies are reading, traveling, playing chess, draft and table tennis.
