Egbewole tasks students on proper documentation

Students of the University of Ilorin have been enjoined to cultivate the habit of proper documentation of their experiences in order to enhance knowledge acquisition and prepare them for enviable professionalism.

This advice was given by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, while speaking at a programme organised recently for students of the Department of Home Economics and Food Science.

 Prof. Egbewole, who spoke through the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Olubunmi Abayomi Omotesho, emphasised the importance of practical experiences in shaping the education of students.

 He praised the department for going beyond the traditional classroom teaching and learning activities by  providing students with an opportunity to witness real-world scenarios.

 The legal luminary also expressed his belief that the event would equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to excel in their future careers.

Also speaking, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Oluyemisi Fawole, lauded the efforts of the Department of Home Economics and Food Science in organising the programme.

She highlighted the significance of practical exposure in the field of agriculture and how it contributes to the overall development of students.

Prof. Fawole stated that the event would provide a platform for students to interact with professionals in the field and gain insights into the practical aspects of their chosen careers.

She also emphasised the commitment of the Faculty to promoting practical learning opportunities for students.

In her address, the Head of the Department, Dr Oluwafunmilola A. Abiodun, expressed her satisfaction with the turn-out for the event, saying that the development was a confirmation of  the meticulous planning and coordination that went into organising it.
