NUJ commends UNILORIN Chapel on anniversary, secretariat launch

The National Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated the University of Ilorin Chapel of the Union on its 13th anniversary and the launch of its proposed secretariat building project.
In a goodwill message addressed to the Chapel through the Kwara State Council, the National Secretary of the Union, Comrade Achike Chude, described the twin celebrations as evidence of the remarkable progress recorded by the Chapel over the years.
The National Secretariat expressed pride in being associated with the Kwara State Council, noting the significant achievements recorded by the UNILORIN Chapel as one of the chapels under the Council.
According to Comrade Chude, “The National Secretariat is proud to be associated with the state council over the giant strides being made by one of the chapels under the Council.”
He attributed the successes of the Chapel to the inspiring leadership provided by both past and present executives, as well as the support and commitment of members.
The National Secretary said, “The National Secretariat is particularly happy with the inspirational leadership of the Chapel leadership both past and present that have now culminated into these double celebrations-the13th anniversary of the Chapel and the amazing feat of launching the building construction of a chapel secretariat.”
He added that the achievements would not have been possible without the collective support of members of the Chapel.
Comrade Chude further stated, “Obviously the successes of the Chapel leadership would not have been possible without the support of the members.”
While congratulating the Chapel on the milestones, he expressed optimism about its future, saying, “On the occasion of these two events, we say a hearty congratulation to the UNILORIN Chapel of our great union. We wish you greater successes going forward.”
The Chapel marked its 13th anniversary alongside the launch of its proposed secretariat building project, a development widely regarded as a significant milestone in the history of the Chapel.
