Adaramaja bags NAHE Fellowship

The Nigerian Association of Health Educators (NAHE), has conferred its Fellowship award on a Professor of Health Promotion and Environmental Health Education at the University of Ilorin, Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, in recognition of his commitment, dedication, exemplary leadership and outstanding contributions to the Association and the Health Education profession.
Prof. Adaramaja, who is also the immediate past National President of NAHE, received the honour at the Association’s 28th Annual National Conference held penultimate Friday (June 26, 2026) at the University of Science and Technology, Agbani, Enugu State.
On the same occasion, the Edo State Chapter of NAHE also presented the UNILORIN don with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his exceptional service and contributions to the Association.
The awards acknowledge Prof. Adaramaja’s remarkable achievements in health education, higher education administration, mentorship and his unwavering commitment to advancing education and professional development in Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin on the development, Prof. Adaramaja, who is also the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), attributed the honours to the grace of God.
He expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of NAHE for the recognition, describing the award as a motivation to continue supporting the growth and development of the Association and the Health Education profession.
Prof. Adaramaja also urged members of NAHE to remain committed to the Association by participating actively in its programmes and initiatives, stressing that collective efforts would enable the Association to attain greater heights.
The Conference brought together health educators, academics, researchers, and professionals from universities and other institutions across the country to exchange ideas and deliberate on issues affecting Health Education and national development.
