The Chairman of the National Executive Cadres Forum of Nigeria (NECFON), University of Ilorin Branch, Mr Muhammad Jamiu Galadima, has urged members of the Forum to embrace dialogue, fairness, transparency, and collective responsibility.
Mr Galadima gave the charge last Wednesday (October 28, 2026) while speaking at a sensitisation programme on the main responsibilities of the forum to the University community, held at the Secretariat of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU).
He said every member of NECFON is expected to contribute ideas, ask questions, and support decisions that advance their common interests.
Mr Galadima also emphasised the need for promotion of unity and mutual respect among members, stressing that although different units may have different experiences and challenges in the course of discharging their responsibilities, they share a common professional interest.
According to him, “Our objective is not confrontation for its own sake, but meaningful dialogue that will improve the professional standing, career prospects, and welfare of executive cadres, which is very key.”
He appreciated members for prompt payment of their monthly dues and called on those who are yet to be committed to their payment to do so, assuring them that as from January 2027, the monthly dues of members would be deducted at source. Members present at the forum unanimously agreed to the deduction of their dues at source.
