UNILORIN, LAUTECH  students shine at Muslimah Tech Summit

A University of Ilorin Law student, Ismail Khodijah, and two students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Hajarat Oyinkansola Olasinde (Chemical Engineering) and Roji Aliyat (Electronics and Electrical Engineering), have emerged the first runners-up at the Muslimah Tech Summit 2025.

At the event held at Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, penultimate Thursday (July 17, 2025), the trio competed in the Muslimah Tech Pitch-A-Thon, where they presented their innovative solution, HAKCare Tech—a digital health platform designed to enhance women’s access to healthcare through culturally sensitive and inclusive technology.

Their pitch earned them the second-place prize of ₦250,000, as well as access to expert mentorship, potential scholarship opportunities, and a range of post-summit benefits.

This achievement not only showcases the creativity and problem-solving capabilities of the students but also underscores the growing influence of women in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship across Nigerian universities.
