The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has thanked the Management of the University of Ilorin for donating the sum of ₦350,000 to the Union towards the completion of its ongoing projects.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, in a statement made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, said that the Union is extremely delighted that the fundraising programme, which took place in December, 2024, was not only attended by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, but it also attracted the positive contribution of the University.

Apart from the donation, the IEDPU President acknowledged other forms of contributions made by some staff members of the University who are providing one form of professional support or the other towards the successful completion of the projects.

Alhaji Abdulmalik said that the gesture of the University is an indication of the existing cordial relationship between the University and the Ilorin community.

The IEDPU President expressed conviction that the relationship between the University and its host community would continue to wax stronger for mutual benefits.

He wished the Vice Chancellor and the entire members of the University community more progress.
