Zubair donates sports wear to Arts Faculty

A former Director of Sports, Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA), University of Ilorin, Miss Fateemah Zubair, has donated 15 pieces of jerseys to the Faculty Sports team.
Miss Zubair made the presentation penultimate Friday (May 8, 2026) to the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ibrahim Jawondo, in his office.
She explained that the donation was in fulfilment of the personal commitment she made while in office.
Miss Zubair said that she was always dismayed that the Faculty had no sports uniform, pointing out that she was always disturbed watching the Faculty compete without a unified identity.
Receiving the jersies, Prof. Jawondo commended the donor for fulfilling her desire as he praised Miss Zubair for her enduring contributions to the Faculty.
The Dean noted that Miss Zubair had “built an amazing legacy that the current Sports Director is working on”.
Prof. Jawondo charged others to invest in human development if they want to leave a good legacy behind. He said that everything in this world has an expiration date but humanity does not.
The event was attended by several dignitaries including Heads of Departments and other staff and students of the Faculty.
