RE: DISCLAIMER OF THE UNAUTHORISED REPRESENTATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILORIN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BY DR. STEPHEN FASAKIN
We write to formally bring to your attention an incident involving the unauthorised representation of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association by Dr. Stephen Fasakin during an award programme recently held in Abuja.
The National Executive Council of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association wishes to state unequivocally that Dr. Stephen Fasakin is not the National President of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association and has no authority whatsoever to act, speak, or make representations on behalf of the Association in that capacity.
At the said event, Dr. Stephen Fasakin falsely presented himself as the National President of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association and purported to represent the Association. His actions were undertaken without the knowledge, consent, approval, or authority of the Association.
Notwithstanding the Association’s publication of the disclaimer in a national newspaper, Dr. Stephen Fasakin has persistently continued to hold himself out as the National President of the University of Ilorin Alumni Association, including at the award programme recently held in Abuja. It is in view of this continued misrepresentation and deliberate disregard of the Association’s public disclaimer that we write to formally notify your office and seek your intervention. For ease of reference, we attach a copy of the published disclaimer together with photographs of the event showing Dr. Stephen Fasakin falsely presenting himself as the National President of the Association.
We respectfully notify your office of this misrepresentation and request that this information be noted in your records. We also attach photographs of the event, which clearly depict Dr. Stephen Fasakin holding himself out as the National President of the Association.
The University of Ilorin Alumni Association remains committed to protecting its corporate identity and ensuring that members of the public are not misled by any individual falsely claiming to represent it.
