Unilorites selected for UN Fellowship

The University of Ilorin has been recognised by the United Nations Academic Impact and the Millennium Campus Network for producing outstanding student leaders.
In a congratulatory letter dated last Tuesday (August 18, 2026), addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, UNILORIN was celebrated for having another cohort of students selected for the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2026.
“The letter read, Congratulations to you and University of Ilorin for having a cohort of Millennium Fellows from your student body again this year!” adding that “this selection is a testament to the ambition of the individuals on your campus. They join a global network of student leaders.”
The Millennium Fellowship is a semester-long leadership development programme that convenes and supports undergraduate students working to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals on their campuses and in their communities. The programme is jointly supported by the United Nations Academic Impact and implemented by the Millennium Campus Network.
