Prof. Egbewole added that he was particularly delighted with the rating of the University as research remains one of the cardinal reasons behind the establishment of every university.

He commended both the staff and students of the University, particularly researchers, for their devotion to duties, which made the University number one among over 400 universities operating in Nigeria.

Speaking on the achievements of the University under his leadership, Prof. Egbewole explained that the University has continued to embark on the automation of its processes.

Prof. Egbewole also said that his Administration has achieved a lot in the realm of infrastructural development across every segment of the University.

He added that the University is also among the few that have continued to prioritise the welfare of staff and students. He said that his Administration has continued to make teaching and learning easier through the provision of adequate infrastructures.
