UNILORIN POGSSAS to hold 2026 Award Night July 31

The Postgraduate Students’ Association (POGSASS) of the University of Ilorin will on Friday, July 31, 2026, hold its 2026 Award Night.
The event, themed “Beyond the Thesis,” is designed to celebrate excellence, leadership, and outstanding contributions of postgraduate students beyond their academic pursuits.
The ceremony would take place at the Conference Hall of Peace Hotel, Ilorin.
According to the organisers, the programme will begin with a red carpet reception at 7:00 p.m., while the main event will commence at 8:00 p.m.
The Award Night is expected to attract postgraduate students, members of the University community, alumni, and other distinguished guests for an evening of recognition, networking, and entertainment.
Activities lined up for the event include award presentations, musical performances, dance, comedy, stage performances, and giveaways, all aimed at making the occasion memorable.
The organisers noted that the theme, “Beyond the Thesis,” underscores the Association’s commitment to recognising postgraduate students for their academic excellence as well as their leadership qualities, innovation, community service, and other meaningful contributions to the society.
