UNILORIN Pensioners’ Chair elected FUPA National Secretary

The Chairman of the Federal Universities Pensioners Association, (FUPA), University of Ilorin Branch,Mr Muda Zubair, has emerged as the new National Secretary of the Association. Mr Zubair, who was elected at the 5th National Delegates Conference of the Association, held in Abuja, penultimate Thursday (April 16, 2026), would hold the position for the next four years.
Speaking on his election, Mr Zubair expressed appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
He specifically thanked UNILORIN Branch members of the Association for their solid support before and during the election.
The new FUPA National Secretary also commended the management of the University of Ilorin for providing a good enabling environment during their service years at the University and after retirement.
Other newly elected officers of the Association are Mr J.O. Akintaro, National President while the trio of Mr I. Ohazuruike, Alhaji Mustapha Garuba, and Mr Layi Ajayi were elected as Vice Presidents for East, North, and West respectively.
The rest are Malam Mohammed Isah, National Treasurer; Mr A. S. I. Adeosun, Legal Adviser; Mr Abdullahi Bawa Pada, Public Relations Officer; Mr S. B. Momoh; Financial Secretary, and Mr. Ajala, Auditor, among others.
