UNILORIN Management appreciates donors’ support

The management of the University of Ilorin has expressed its gratitude to three organisations for their recent support to the University. The three organisations are the Nigerian Society of Engineers(NSE), the Infectious Disease and Environmental Health Research Group (IDEHRG) and the Fleming Fund Country Guarantee (FFCG).
In seperate letters addressed to each of the donours, the Registrar of the University, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, thanked them for the various supports they rendered to the University.
Appreciating the NSE in a letter dated April 14, 2026, Mr Alfanla thanked the professional body for the gesture as he noted that the support from the body to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology would significantly enhance the quality of teaching, learning, research and professionalism obtainable at the Faculty. He explained that the gesture was in tandem with the vision and mission of the Better by far University.
On the donation of ₦100, 208, 000.37 received from the IDEHRG for the Department of Microbiology, the Registrar said that the donation would strengthen the University’s capacity in advanced infectious disease surveillance, virology, wastewater monitoring and transnational research. He pointed out that the support would not only strengthen the University but it would also contribute meaningfully to the achievement of its vision and mission.
The Registrar, who also identified six different material support received by the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) of the University from FFCG in a letter dated April 15, 2026, said that the donation would greatly enhance operational efficiency and also contribute meaningfully to improved data management and uninterrupted power supply, thereby ensuring the reliability and continuity of its surveillance systems.
The Registrar added that the University looks forward to receiving more support and commitment towards the growth and development of the University.
