The don explained that the fascinating records and alluring image of the University can always be boosted through wonderful performances in quiz and debate contests, saying that “those who had never and may not visit our University could be attracted by superlative oratorial skills of Unilorites”.
Dr Garba added that his Committee would spare no effort at ensuring that only the best represent the University at such competitions for maximum performance.
He added that his Committee would work with Deans, particularly, the Dean of Student Affairs Unit, and Heads of the Departments as well as other stakeholders through the regular staging of Inter-Departmental and Inter-Faculty Quiz, Debate and Innovations Contests from where outstanding debaters and inventors would be selected and further coached to represent the University at national and international levels.
