UNILORIN constitutes Funding Committee for CoHS

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, has approved the constitution of a Funding Intervention Committee (FIC) for the College of Health Sciences, with the mandate to mobilise resources for the upgrade of facilities at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and the College.
This is contained in a memo signed by the Registrar of the University, Mr Mansur.Adeleke. Alfanla, dated August 24,2026.
According to the memo, the 11-member Committee will be chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN. and it will include the Acting Chief Medical Director of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Prof. S. A. Biliaminu. Other members include the Bursar, Mr Abiodun Lawal; the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof. M. A. N. Adeboye; and six other senior academics from the College namely; Prof. A.A. Fawole, Prof. Dupe Ademola-Popoola, Prof I.S Abdulraheem, Prof. I.A. Katibi, Prof. Aishat O. Bolakale, and Dr.G.T. Olanrewaju while the Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, will serve as the Committee’s Secretary.
The Committee is mandated to mobilise funds for the upgrade of facilities at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital and the College of Health Sciences, in view of their strategic roles in the training of medical students.
The Committee, which will also perform other related functions as assigned by the Vice Chancellor, is expected to submit periodic reports and recommendations to the Vice Chancellor and other members of the University management.
