UNILORIN alumnus, Alata represents Nigeria at IY festival in Russia

The University of Ilorin has recorded another milestone with the participation of its recent Chemistry graduate, Taofeek Alata, as a Nigerian delegate at the 2026 International Youth Festival in Russia.

The participation highlights the international exposure of the University of Ilorin graduates and their involvement in youth focused programmes that bring together participants from different countries.

The festival, according to the reports received by  UNILORIN Bulletin last Tuesday (September 22, 2026), attracted approximately 10,000 young people, comprising 5,000 Russian participants and 5,000 international delegates from 191 countries.

The international gathering provided a platform for participants to engage in cultural exchange, develop networks and share perspectives on issues relating to youth development, global cooperation and civic participation.
