Mariam Shiru Mahmud (née Rasheed) is a premium leather artisan, fashion designer, and proud 2023 Physics alumna of the University of Ilorin.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she founded Ryama’s Collection in 2018, transforming a home-based display into a recognised brand.

​The brand specialises in manufacturing structured, high-end bags, footwear, and apparel tailored for both men and women, with a deep focus on modest aesthetics, meticulous finishing, and precision craftsmanship.

She balances her technical background with design innovation to drive business growth, recently securing milestones in competitive business accelerators and award platforms for her brand’s excellence.

​Through her work, she aims to inspire young graduates by demonstrating how technical problem-solving skills from a science background can seamlessly translate into building a successful, structured manufacturing business.
