Sola-Ojo chairs new UNILORIN GgMAX Farm Board

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has constituted a new Management Board for the UNILORIN GgMAX Poultry Farm Limited, with Prof. Foluke E. Sola-Ojo of the Department of Animal Production as Chairman.
Other members of the Board are Prof. A. O. Sambo of the Department of Public Law; Dr Kenechukwu T. Onwuama of the Department of Veterinary Medicine; Dr Dayo Bamigbade of the Department of Accounting; Dr Khadijat B. Amolegbe of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management; Mojirola H. Ibiyemi of the Legal Services Unit; Bidemi S. Durowade of the Bursary; and Abimbola R. Ologe of the Directorate of Pension and Gratuity Units, who will serve as Secretary.
The new Board resumed duties on Thursday. September 3, 2026, when the outgoing Chairman, Prof. S. O. Salami of the Department of Veterinary Anatomy, handed over the farm properties and documents at the farm premises in Amoyo, Kwara State.
Speaking during the handing over ceremony, Prof. Sola-Ojo thanked the outgoing Chairman for the warm reception and comprehensive briefing.
She assured him that the new Board would continue to consult him whenever necessary, particularly on issues relating to the continuity, development, and growth of the farm.
Prof. Sola-Ojo expressed the commitment of the new Board to building on the achievements of its predecessor, while working towards further strengthening the operations and sustainability of GgMAX Farm.
Welcoming the new Board members to the farm, the outgoing Chairman, Prof. Salami, who took them on a tour of the farm, highlighted the major achievements recorded by his administration and outlined some of the challenges encountered during his tenure.
He disclosed that ₦269 million had so far been repaid from the farm’s loan, urging the new Board to sustain the repayment efforts and ensure that the outstanding debt is cleared as soon as possible.
