Omoniyi loses dad

The father of a Principal Information Officer in the Directorate of Corporate Affairs and Social Media Coordinator of the University of Ilorin, Mr Lukman Temitope Omoniyi, has passed on.

Alhaji (Hon.) Mukaila Ayinla Omoniyi, aged 67, died last Wednesday, (April 22, 2026), after a brief illness and he has been buried at his residence in Tanke, Ilorin, in accordance with Islamic rites.

A retired civil servant, the late Alhaji Omoniyi was a respected community leader and a former Transition Implementation Committee (TIC) Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren,  family members, and associates.
