Obafemi, ex-Registrar, commends sustenance of Registry Seminar

The fifth Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Mr Emmanuel Dada Obafemi, has commended the continuous hosting of the institution’s Registry Seminar, a professional development initiative that was birthed during his tenure.
Speaking as a special guest at the 2026 Second Quarter Registry Seminar held last Tuesday (July 7, 2026), at the University Auditorium, the former Registrar lauded the leadership of the Registry for maintaining the culture of excellence and capacity building within the secretarial and administrative cadre of the University.
Mr Obafemi specifically commended the Registrar, Mr Mansur Alfanla, for his unwavering commitment to the sustenance and growth of the seminar series.
He noted that under Mr Alfanla’s leadership, the initiative has remained a vital pillar for institutional growth.
“The Registry Seminar has proven to be highly interactive, deeply informative, and immensely helpful for the professional advancement of the administrative staff,” he stated, emphasising the tangible impact the Seminar continues to make on university governance.
Earlier, the Registrar, Mr Mansur Alfanla, noted that the quarterly seminar serves as a critical platform for staff within the University Registry to sharpen their administrative skills, deliberate on contemporary institutional challenges, and align with global best practices in higher education management.
Participants at the event echoed the sentiments of the former Registrar, noting that the consistent delivery of the seminar reinforces the long-standing culture of stability, professional excellence, and administrative efficiency of the University.
