NESREA Chief hails Ajibade
By Abubakar Imam
Aformer Dean of Student Affairs, University of Ilorin, Prof. Lanre Tajudeen Ajibade, has been described as a reputable academic figure who deserves to be emulated.
This assertion was made last Thursday (September 24, 2026) by a Principal Scientific Officer with the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency(NESREA), Mrs Kehinde Nurudeen, in a telephone chat with UNILORIN Bulletin.
She explained that her interactions with the don, who teaches at the Department of Geography and Environmental Management, University of Ilorin, convinced her that it is possible for an individual to combine humility with erudition.
Mrs Nurudeen, who works at NESREA headquarters in Abuja, said that she recently met Prof. Ajibade at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, where he served as her External Examiner and was enamoured with his fascinating intellectual, administrative and interpersonal dispositions.
She added that the comments of others who equally interacted with Prof. Ajibade synchronised with hers, saying that the former Dean is evidently a very good man.
While encouraging Prof. Ajibade to continue to provide quality mentorship for the younger ones wherever he goes, Mrs Nurudeen appealed to other academics to emulate the fascinating dispositions of Prof. Ajibade as she said that such attitude would encourage more individuals to pursue similar dispositions.
