Management congratulates Daodu, Adah on international appointments

The University of Ilorin has congratulated Dr Oluwafemi B. Daodu of the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Dr. Arimie Adah of the Department of Veterinary Medicine, both of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, on their appointments to the Board of the Morris Animal Foundation, and as a member of the World Veterinary Association Technical Working Group on Antimicrobial Stewardship, respectively.             The appointments were conveyed in their respective letters dated Friday, July 24, 2026, and Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Writing on behalf of the University Management and the University community, the Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, highlighted the significance of Dr Daodu’s appointment.

Mr Alfanla said,”Your appointment to this prestigious international body is a clear testament to your outstanding scholarship, academic accomplishments, professional competence, and significant contributions to Veterinary Science. It is indeed gratifying to note that your expertise has been recognised at the global level through such a rigorous and competitive selection process.”

Similarly, the Registrar also eulogised Dr Arimie Adah on her accomplishment.

He said, “I write on behalf of the University Management to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated 23rd July, 2026 on the above subject and to congratulate you on this well-deserved international recognition.

‘‘ Your nomination is a testament to your dedication, professional excellence, and outstanding contributions to Veterinary Medicine, research, and the advancement of the One Health approach.”

The Registrar also underscored the importance of the two appointments to the University of Ilorin within the community of world universities.
