Iyiola appointed ANUDC national quiz coordinator

The Chairman of the University of Ilorin Quiz and Debates Committee, Prof. Oluyinka Iyiola, has been appointed as the National Coordinator of Quiz for the All Nigerian Universities Debate Championship (ANUDC).
Prof. Iyiola’s appointment was disclosed to the UNILORIN Bulletin last Thursday (September 17, 2026), by the Secretariat of the UNILORIN Quiz and Debates Committee, which added that the appointment further strengthened the representation of the University in the national body governing university level intellectual competitions.
The appointment of Prof. Iyiola, who teaches at the Department of Zoology, brings to three the number of the University’s academic staff serving on the ANUDC Executive Council.
Other University of Ilorin staff members serving on the ANUDC Executive Council are Prof. Abdulateef A. Owoade, who is the National President, and Mr Ahmed Abiodun Lawal, the National Secretary.
With this development, Prof. Iyiola will be saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the technical preparation of the quiz competition, including question setting and the maintenance of operational standards for the quiz division of ANUDC national championships.
The development has further demonstrated the increasing contribution of the University to the administration and advancement of intellectual competitions among Nigerian universities.
