Egbewole honours Yusuf Ali at UniAbuja

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, penultimate Saturday (April 18, 2026) joined other dignitaries from all walks of life at the event marking the conferment of honourary doctorate degree on a former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Osun State University, Osogbo, Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali, SAN, by the authorities of Yakubu Gowon University (formerly known as University of Abuja) in Abuja.
Other members of the UNILORIN management, who attended the programme along with the Vice Chancellor include its Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla.
At the event were also several alumni of the University of Ilorin who are either staff members of the University of Abuja or residents of the city who came to celebrate with the honouree and receive the leadership of the Better by far University.
Prof. Ali, who is also the Kuliya of Ilorin, has been a longtime friend of the Better by far University whose contributions to the progress and development of the University have been very impactful and significant.
In furtherance of his relationship with the Better by far University, the honouree penultimate Tuesday (April 17, 2026) delivered the maiden lecture of the Centre for Mentorship of the University, which attracted several dignitaries from within and outside the University.
