Babamale loses mother

The death has been announced of Alhaja Aisha Ayoku Babamale, following an old-age related illness.

Alhaja Babamale, who died at an advanced age last Wednesday (June 17, 2026), was the mother of Mr AbdulRazaq Babamale of the University Registry and grandmother of a Principal Information Officer at the Directorate of Corporate Affairs and immediate past Chairman of the UNILORIN Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr Tajudeen Abdulwahab Babamale.

The remains of the deceased were buried in accordance to Muslim rites on the same day and after a Janazah prayer held in her honour at her residence, Babamale Compound, Pakata, Ilorin.
