Amolegbe elected AAAE West Africa representative

The Ag. Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management, University of Ilorin, Dr Khadijat Busola Amolegbe, has been elected as the West Africa Representative of the African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE)
The election, held during the just concluded 8th African Association of Agricultural Economist (AAAE) Conference in Nairobi, Kenya, is a recognition of Dr Amolegbe’s academic leadership, professional contributions and commitment to the advancement of Agricultural Economics and agricultural development in the West African sub-region.
As the West Africa Representative, Dr Amolegbe will contribute to the activities of the Association and support initiatives aimed at strengthening Agricultural Economics research, scholarship, collaboration and professional development across the region.
The AAAE promotes Agricultural Economics research and its application to agricultural and rural development across Africa. The new responsibility, therefore, provides an opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the discipline and strengthen professional networks among agricultural economists in West Africa.
