Alada loses dad

The death has been announced of Alhaji Yahaya Alada, the father of an Assistant Registrar in the Office of the Provost, College of Health Sciences (CoHS), University of Ilorin, Mr Ismail Yahaya Alada.
The renowned Lagos-based busnessman died penultimate Sunday (September 13, 2026) at the age of 96 after an old-age related illness.
The remains of the deceased, who was also the father of a Federal Commissioner at the National Population Commission (NPC), Dr Isiaka Alada Yahaya, were buried on the same day at his ancestral home, Alada Compound, Pakata, Ilorin, while the 8th day prayer for the repose of his soul was held at the same place on Saturday (September 19, 2026).
Among the dignitaries who participated in the series of funeral rites on the deceased were the Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla and a Deputy Registrar and Secretary to the CoHS, Mr Ahmad Rufai Sidiqque.
