Again, UNILORIN shines at JAMB merit awards

Llast Monday (May 11, 2026), the University of Ilorin again emerged as one of the winners of the 6th National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards (NATAP-M).

The  awards, which were organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and attended by Chief Executives of universities, polytechnics, monotechinics and Colleges of Education and other important stakeholders in the nation’s educational sector, highlighted the commitment of the University to admission regulations.

The award was granted in recognition of the significant roles the University of Ilorin plays in advancing Nigeria’s educational landscape.

It was presented to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, by the Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa.

Reacting, the Vice Chancellor thanked JAMB for the recognition.

He assured the Board that the University would continue to improve on its service delivery for it to continue to produce quality high manpower for national development.
