The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), University of Ilorin Branch has said that the tenure of the University Registrar, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, has been very fruitful and rewarding.

This assessment is contained in a congratulatory message sent to the Registrar by the Association to mark hisĀ  third year in office.

In the statement issued by the Branch Chairman, Mr Naheem Olusola Falowo, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin, SSANU commended the Registrar’s distinguished service, noting that his leadership has significantly contributed to administrative stability and institutional progress within the University.

Mr Falowo highlighted Mr Alfanla’s long-standing commitment to unionism, recalling his emergence and growth through various strategic positions he held within SSANU at both the branch and national levels.

According to the statement, the Registrar served meritoriously as a two-time Secretary and two-time Chairman of SSANU, UNILORIN Branch during which he demonstrated uncommon dedication to staff welfare and collective bargaining.

It further noted that Mr Alfanla also served as the National Treasurer of SSANU, a role in which he contributed to strengthening the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of the Union.

The Association emphasised that Mr Alfanla’s journey from active union leadership to the apex administrative office in the University underscores his resilience, competence, and deep understanding of institutional governance.

The Union expressed optimism that under his continued stewardship, the University would sustain its trajectory of growth and remain a model of administrative efficiency in the Nigerian university system.
