Dr Abdulrasheed A. NASIR is a Reader in Surgery and an Honorary Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at the University of Ilorin and University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital respectively. His undergraduate medical training was at the University of Ilorin and completed his paediatric Surgery residency training at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. He had additional fellowship training in Paediatric urology and Minimal access Surgery at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi (2008) and Muljibah Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad, India (2014). He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (2008). Dr Nasir’s clinical practice focuses on paediatric urology and paediatrics surgical oncology.  His research focus is on Outcomes Research in surgery, posterior urethral valves, hypospadia and Wilms tumour. He had keen interest in Medical education including simulation techniques. He served as the coordinator of Residency training at the Department of Surgery, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, 2018-2020. He is the coordinator of Clinical Skill and Stimulation Laboratory, University of Ilorin since 2020 and he has served as the Director of the Centre for Injury Research and Safety Promotion 2013-2018.  He was a member of Conjoined Twins Management Team for the 1^st successful separation of a set of conjoined twins separated on the 5^th of January, 2021 at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Nigeria. He has over 100 published scientific articles peer review reputable National and International journals. He has also contributed chapters to 3 books. He is a Reviewer for more than 20 journals (local, National and International) and Editorial Member of 3 journals. He is Site Principal Investigator for  Global surg studies (Global Surg I, II, III), Global Paediatric Surgery, Paedsurg Africa, GlobalPaedCancer and Tetfund sponsored Injury first responder training. He has received several scholarships and awards. He loves reading, scientific writing and traveling.
