The University of Ilorin Alumni Association, UNILORIN Branch, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, calling on members to embody the festival’s lessons of sacrifice, gratitude, and community service.

In his Eid message, the Chairman of the Branch, Prof. B.L. Adeleke, extended warm greetings to Muslim brothers and sisters, praying that Almighty Allah grants everyone a life filled with peace, joy, love, and prosperity. He noted that the sacred celebration offers an opportunity for spiritual renewal and deeper appreciation of faith.

Prof. Adeleke emphasised that Eid al-Adha’s core teachings should translate into action within the alumni community. He urged members to strengthen unity, support one another, and bring blessings to their homes and wider communities.

He added that as products of the University of Ilorin, it was incumbent on alumni to give back generously to their alma mater as a practical expression of gratitude and commitment.

Prof. Adeleke described the festival not only as a time of celebration but also as a call to deliberate generosity and service, reinforcing the role of the UNILORIN alumni network in advancing the growth of the University.
