Yahaya bags Northern Zone ICAN award

A former Head of the Department of Accounting, University of Ilorin, Prof. Khadijat Adenola Yahaya, FCA, was on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 conferred with a prestigious merit award  by the Northern Zone of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). The event was held in Minna, the Niger State capital.

The award, which was the third to be earned by Prof. Yahaya this year, was conferred on her in recognition of her exemplary hardwork and professionalism.

The award plaque was presented to her by the 61st President of ICAN, Mallam Haruna N. Yahaya, mni, at the event that was attended by several dignitaries from far and near.

Speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin on the development, Prof. Yahaya said that she was delighted that her humble contributions were again recognised and rewarded by the Institute.

Prof. Yahaya, who is also the Coordinator of the Kwara State Chapter of the Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT), thanked the authorities of the University for the privilege she has been granted over the years as she promised to work harder towards taking the institution to greater heights.
