An 18 year-old 300 Level student of the Department of Economics, University of Ilorin, Miss Temilola Blossom Arise, has passed all the five papers of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) professional stage.
This feat makes Miss Arise one of the youngest chartered accountants in the country.
Reacting to the development, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, described it as a confirmation of the incredible service delivery enjoyed by the students of the University.
In a statement issued by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kunle Akogun, the Vice Chancellor congratulated Miss Arise on her remarkable achievement, which, he said, is in line with the legendary excellence for which the University is renowned.
The Vice Chancellor said that the achievement is a testament to the power of hard work, resilience, dedication, and strong faith in God demonstrated by Miss Arise.
He added that Miss Arise has successfully balanced her academic work with professional studies, saying that she has also shown immense focus, discipline, and perseverance.
Prof. Egbewole said, “As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, it is hoped that Miss Arise’s journey would inspire undergraduate students of the University and other young people to pursue their passions with determination and courage”.
The Vice Chancellor wished Miss Arise a more exciting future and meaningful impacts in her professional calling.
