The Computer Services and Information Technology (COMSIT), University of Ilorin, has organised a training workshop on WordPress and Web development for its IT officers to enhance their digital capabilities.

The week-long training programme, held from Monday, January 20, to Friday, January 24, 2025 at the old Administrative Building of the University, aimed at equipping participants with the necessary skills to design, develop, and manage websites using WordPress. It also covered essential web development concepts, with expert resource persons empowering participants to create innovative digital solutions.

In his remarks at the training programme, the Director of COMSIT, Prof. Rasheed Gbenga Jimoh, noted that by enhancing the digital capabilities of its IT officers, the University is poised to improve its online presence, streamline its digital operations, and provide better services to its students, staff, and the wider University community.

Prof. Jimoh submitted that the initiative demonstrated the commitment of the University to staying at the forefront of technological advancements and providing its staff with opportunities for professional growth and development.
