The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), University of Ilorin Branch, and the University’s Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) have congratulated the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, on the occasion of his 64th birthday.
In separate congratulatory messages sent to the Vice Chancellor and signed by SSANU Public Relations Officer, Mrs Afelumo, and the NUJ Chapel Chairman, Mr Tijani Adewoyin, the unions said that the Vice Chancellor’s birthday was another opportunity to celebrate a life of immense value, academic excellence, visionary leadership, and selfless service to the University and the Nigerian educational system at large.
SSANU said that the tenure of Prof. Egbewole has continued to reflect stability, innovation, and a deep commitment to the progress and reputation of the University.
The SSANU PRO added that the Association appreciates Prof. Egbewole’s inclusive leadership style as well as his support for staff welfare and institutional harmony.
The statement prayed to Allah to continue to grant Prof. Egbewole sound health, renewed strength, wisdom, and many more fruitful years of impactful service.
On its part, the UNILORIN Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists expressed profound gratitude to the Almighty God for granting Prof. Egbewole another milestone year of life.
The Union thanked Prof. Egbewole for his unwavering support and steadfast commitment to the NUJ Unilorin Chapel, citing his visionary leadership, wise counsel, and generous patronage as a constant source of inspiration and motivation to members.
Mr Adewoyin equally commended Prof. Egbewole for creating opportunities for journalists to enhance their professional acumen and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of journalism practice in the institution.
