UNILORIN Physiology student gets UK group’s recognition

A student of the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Ilorin, Mr Maleek Olarewaju Oyedele, has been recognised as the Best Overall Student in the Department by the Physiological Society, United Kingdom.

                The feat has earned him a Certificate of Undergraduate Prize for Physiology 2025.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has congratulated Mr Oyedele, describing the recognition as “a significant achievement.”

In a congratulatory letter sent to the student by the Registrar of the University, Mr Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, a copy of which was made available to UNILORIN Bulletin last Monday, (February 10, 2025), the Vice Chancellor said that “this certificate is a significant achievement, recognising your dedication and passion for advancing the field of Physiology.”

He added that “the award has not only enhanced your academic expertise but also positioned you as a valuable asset to the University and humanity at large.”

The Registrar said that the University Management acknowledges the significance of Oyedele’s achievement, adding that “indeed, you are a worthy ambassador of the University.”
