UNILORIN LIS students shine at Quiz Contest

The Department of Library and Information Science, University of Ilorin has emerged winner of the 2025 Kwara State Library Schools’ Quiz Contest.
The contest, which attracted students of other Departments of Library and Information Science across the State and organised by the Kwara State Branch of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), took place at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa.
Presenting the prize to the Head of the Department of Library and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin, Dr M. T. Bashorun, in his office, the President of the University’s Chapter of the National Association of Library and Information Science Students, Mr Ahmad Gold Na-Allah, thanked the Department for grooming them strongly to do well not only in the contest but also.in life.
Mr Na-Allah assured the management of the Department that the students would continue to do the Department and the University proud in academic and non-curricular activities.
Receiving the prize, Dr Bashorun thanked the students for making the University very proud with their fascinating performances.
Dr Bashorun, who is an Associate Professor, promised that the Department would keep on inculcating the right magnitude and quality of knowledge as well as attitude in its students for them to always compete favourably with their colleagues allover Nigeria and beyond.
