A Senior Technologist at the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, University of Ilorin, Mrs O. V. Adeyinka-Ajiboye, has described the University as a beacon of academic distinction, whose culture of stability and innovation continues to inspire generations of professionals.
Mrs Adeyinka-Ajiboye stated this last Monday (November 24, 2025) while speaking with UNILORIN Bulletin in her office.
She noted that five decades after the establishment of the University, the institution has maintained a reputation for discipline, dedication, and consistent academic excellence.
She explained that the institution has evolved into a major hub of technological and scientific advancement, especially through the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
Mrs Adeyinka-Ajiboye also pointed out that the University’s agricultural engineers have made significant contributions to community development by supporting farmers through outreach programmes that introduce affordable and efficient technologies aimed at improving productivity and reducing labour.
According to her, these interventions promote food security, environmental conservation, and rural empowerment—values that mirror the University’s long-standing motto of being “Better by Far.”
While congratulating the University on its Golden Jubilee, she urged engineers and alumni to uphold UNILORIN’s legacy by solving societal problems and advancing technologies that will sustain national development.
