In its determination to support and encourage students’ entrepreneurial drive with digital skills, the University of Ilorin has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Global Wissen Consult, one of the leading providers of digital entrepreneurship education.
At a short event held at the Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room last Thursday (September 11, 2025), the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, signed on behalf of the University while Ms Nathalie Sundelin, signed on behalf of Global Wissen Consult.
Speaking after the signing of the MoU, the Vice Chancellor said that the University has always ensured that entrepreneurial knowledge is combined with digital knowledge. He expressed optimism that the MoU will further strengthen the efforts of the University in equipping its student entrepreneurs with necessary digital skills.
The Managing Director of Global Wissen Consult, Ms Nathalie Sundelin, said GWC, a Digital Literacy and Educational organisation established with the goal of providing accessible digital educational services, is committed to complement the existing entrepreneurship programmes of the University with their digital entrepreneurship programme.
She assured the University that GWC will provide the students with possibilities and opportunities in the digital space from the next academic session.
In a chat with UNILORIN Bulletin after the signing of the MoU, the Director of the Technical and Entrepreneurship Centre (TEC), Prof. Usman Adebimpe Raheem, reiterated that the Centre would work with the GWC to encourage and support students on the setup of start-ups while in the University.
He encouraged students to further develop their digital skills to bolster their entrepreneurial pursuits.
