The Station Manager of UNILORIN 89.3 FM, Mr. Ibrahim Akintola Idris (Alooma) has congratulated the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Kwara State Ministry of Health, Dr. Taoheed Ayodeji Abdullahi, on his appointment, which he described as well merited.

He gave the congratulation last Monday (April 28, 2025) when he paid a courtesy visit on the new Permanent Secretary in his Ministry of Health office.

               During the visit, Mr. Alooma congratulated sought more synergy and collaborations between the Ministry and UNILORIN FM Radio.

Describing Dr. Taoheed as a hardworking, humble, and God-fearing man with the capacity, capability, and character to lead, the UNILORIN FM boss noted that the renowned ophthalmologist has been a friend of UNILORIN FM for over a decade, partnering with the radio station on various initiatives. Mr. Alooma prayed that the Almighty Allah continue to guide and guard Dr. Taoheed, as he assumed his new role.

He then presented a strongly-worded congratulatory letter to Dr. Taoheed, emphasising the importance of collaboration between the Ministry and UNILORIN FM Radio for mutual benefits. He acknowledged Kwara State’s good reputation in healthcare delivery but noted that there is always room for improvement.

In his response, Dr. Taoheed expressed his profound gratitude for the visit and the congratulatory letter. He highlighted the current administration’s commitment to healthcare, including recruiting medical personnel and equipping hospitals. Dr. Taoheed welcomed potential collaborations with UNILORIN FM Radio, stating that the Ministry is ready to work together for more robust progress.

Mr. Alooma was accompanied by some key staff members of the radio station, including Mr. Tijani Adewoyin the Head of Islamic Unit and Mr. Oyakhire Ikhuemein, a senior staff of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs University of Ilorin.
