The Director of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre at the University of Ilorin, Prof. Rauf Kamilu, has commended the newly matriculated students of the University for their quick adaptation to the institution’s culture, particularly its zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice.
In an interview with UNILORIN Bulletin, Prof. Kamilu described the continuous assessment exercise, which commenced on December 2, 2025, as a huge success. He revealed that the exercise was seamless, with results sent to course lecturers and HODs for moderation, and subsequently to the CBT centre for record purposes.
The Director praised the new students for learning fast and adapting to the system and environment, which made them to shift from using matric numbers instead of JAMB registration numbers for tests. He commended the COMSIT team for their efforts in sending the new students’ details to the Senate for approval and subsequently to their email addresses.
Prof. Kamilu announced that all tests would be concluded by December 22, 2025, allowing students to go on Christmas break. He also revealed plans to collaborate with the student union leadership to organise mock exams for the new intakes, aimed at familiarising them with computer usage.
The Director expressed his appreciation to the University management, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, lecturers, and staff of the CBT Centre for their relentless support.
