A former First Lady of Ekiti State, Mrs Bisi Adeleye Fayemi, has described the University of Ilorin as an amazing institution of learning.

Mrs Fayemi made this remark last Wednesday (October 15, 2025) while featuring on a special edition of ‘Table Talk’, a current affairs programme of UNILORIN 89.3 FM, which was anchored by the duo of the General Manager of the Station, Mr Idris Akintola Ibrahim(Idris Alooma) and the Station’s Head of Programme, Mr Temitope Olawuyi (Karikatalk).

The former First Lady, who was at the University for the launch of the institution’s Centre for Gender Studies (CGS), said that the University has been very peaceful, productive and supportive of the nation’s developmental strides.

Mrs Fayemi commended the University for its deliberate promotion of gender equality and sensitivity, saying that the University has done very well with the creation of the Centre.

The former First Lady equally congratulated the University on its upcoming Golden Jubilee as she wished the University a more productive and peaceful future that would be marked by efficient service delivery to the nation and humanity.

Mrs Fayemi was accompanied to the Station by the Director of the Centre, Prof. Patricia Omojasola and a Visiting Professor from the University of Belgrade, Katarina Popovic.
